Standard Commercial Cleaning Checklist

Offices & Conference Rooms

  • High dust vertical and horizontal surfaces
  • Spot clean and remove fingerprints from glass (including partitions, doors, and windows)
  • Clean and disinfect tabletops, desks, phones, and computer monitors
  • Remove garbage and replace liners
  • Dust baseboards and vents
  • Vacuum floors

Hallways / Entrance

  • High dust walls, ledges, and fixtures
  • Spot clean and remove fingerprints from hanging glass or mirror
  • Clean interior / exterior of glass entrance door
  • Spot clean and remove fingerprints from receptionist desk
  • Vacuum floors
  • Mop hard floors
  • Dry dust baseboards

Kitchens / Breakrooms

  • High dust surfaces and fixtures
  • Spot clean and remove fingerprints from cabinet fronts
  • Clean and disinfect countertops and sinks
  • Clean and disinfect all touchpoints (e.g., handles, light switches)
  • Clean exterior of appliances (e.g., refrigerator, oven)
  • Clean underneath, inside, and outside of the microwave
  • Remove garbage and recycling, and replace liners as needed
  • Vacuum and mop floors

Bathrooms

  • High dust vertical and horizontal surfaces
  • Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, toilets, urinals, and fixtures
  • Spot clean mirrors and glass
  • Restock paper products (e.g., towels, toilet paper) and hand soap as necessary
  • Empty trash cans and sanitary bins, replacing liners as needed
  • Vacuum floors (if applicable) and mop floors with disinfectant

Common Areas

Janitorial Closet

  • Organize supplies and equipment
  • Ensure all cleaning products are properly labeled and stored safely
  • Wipe down and disinfect shelving, handles, and frequently touched surfaces
  • Sweep and mop the floor
  • Check and refill supplies (e.g., garbage bags, paper towels, cleaning solutions)
  • Empty trash cans in the closet and replace liners if needed
  • Inspect equipment (e.g., vacuum, mop bucket) for functionality and cleanliness
